Brendan McNamara Residential Architecture

Placing this house on the edge of a raised rock outcrop allows it to float on an elevated platform raised above the forest with the land falling away gently to the south. Rural views are to the east, south and west, if somewhat filtered through the treetops.

The wrap around porch starts at the front door traveling around the Kitchen/Dining and Family Rooms, ending at the upper western platform of the rocky ridge, giving a desirable spot for summer relaxing with the possibility of a future pool. The dramatic “tower” on the south- eastern corner extends the Living Room at first floor level and contains the Master Bathroom at the second floor. Both spaces provide a spectacular sense of being surrounded by the outside and access to generous morning sunshine.
