Brendan McNamara Residential Architecture

This project was made challenging by the requirements of Town and State Zoning, given its proximity to a wetland area. The demolition of an existing “Ranch” allowed for limited volumetric expansion for the new home. The house is tightly controlled by front, side and rear setback requirements.

Although across a busy road, the magnificent view to the southeast of surf and beach is incorporated to the Kitchen, Dining and Family Rooms, while sleeping and evening relaxing, is concentrated on the quieter rear.

This house accommodates a comfortable lifestyle for two but a pair of second floor bedrooms, overlooking the principal view, allows for a gracious welcome to overnight guests.
